Position Summary:
Join our Development Division as a Healthy Housing/Partner Relations Specialist. This position is accountable for ensuring that program activities involving HUD Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration grant subgrantees are coordinated to ensure the effective remediation of lead hazards and other housing deficiencies and weatherization services. In addition this position is responsible for identification and remediation of housing deficiencies/hazards to ensure program clients have safer and healthier housing conditions upon project completion.


Responsibilities:
· Monitor client referrals from DOH Lead Program to the four Lead Centers. Ensure access of LSHP provided HEPA vacuums.
· Conduct Healthy Housing Rating System assessments at LSHP properties. Identify and rate housing deficiencies/hazards.
· Develop and monitor Healthy Housing Remediation Plan.
· Coordinate and conduct meetings with subgrantee Community Action Programs.
· Schedule and handle logistics for calls and meetings.
· Support Program Coordinator to foster information-sharing and learning networks among subgrantees, partners, and other stakeholders.
· Working collaboratively with program staff to create and manage program budgets and reconcile budget to actuals.
· Reviews Healthy Housing remediation bid proposals from contractors to ensure completeness and feasibility. Monitors remediation process including conducting on-site inspections and final inspections, documenting progress and authorizing payments.
· Performs special projects, research and reporting as assigned.
· Projects a positive corporate image through professional and courteous contact with all constituencies.


Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or acceptable equivalent work experience, plus minimum two years’ experience in government or housing related industry; working knowledge of federal/state housing programs including Weatherization;
· Proven ability to work with non-profit groups and state agencies; sound understanding of non-profit management and financial systems;
· Ability to conceptualize and implement new housing programs; excellent written and verbal communications skills;
· Strong negotiation, facilitation, computer and organizational skills; prior supervisory experience.
· Ability to multitask; experience supporting multiple priorities and juggling a variety of tasks for one or more individuals in a team environment.
· Good credit; underwriting and appraisal skills; preferred.
· Use of personal vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
· Within six months of hire, incumbent must become certified as a Heathy Housing Rating System assessor.
