This is a direct hire career opportunity for a Mechanical Assembler with a minimum of 3 years experience in Mechanical / Electromechanical Assembly.

We are leading designer and manufacturer of Knitting Machines and other Testing Machines used for Yarn and Fiber Testing and we have an immediate opening for a top notch Mechanical Assembler within our assembly department.

We need someone who is mechanically gifted and enjoys mechanical work, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and has excellent fault identification skills.

The person must be able to analyze and develop solutions to mechanical problems with the knitting machines post assembly and prior to shipment. The Position also requires Basic Electrical Wiring and the ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits using a Volt and Ohm Meter.

We seek a candidate who has great mechanical aptitude, exacting attention to detail, excellent general knowledge of mechanics in an industrial atmosphere, use of bearings, cams, metal finishes and shafting. Must have good mechanical dexterity, and experience in drilling, tapping, and finish work and a basic knowledge of plating and heat treating, Skilled with use of torch for Brazing and Heating of Parts for assembly and fabrication. Ability to assemble to medium size production items. General knowledge of machining procedures is helpful to understand and spot potential problems at the level of mechanical assembly or when the parts are received (in shipping) from a vendor.

This position involves building the machines as well as working on mechanical sub-assemblies for various products - gearboxes, valves, actuators, air servos, stitch cams, knitting cylinders, Ratcheting assemblies as well as many other components. In addition to the Mechanical Work the position also involves point to point wiring, assembly of simple electrical panels and a basic understanding of Electrical principles is necessary.

Candidates MUST BE ABLE to read technical drawings, blue prints and basic schematics. Have knowledge and experience with measuring instruments including Rockwell Hardness Tester, Vernier, Calipers and Dial Indicators and be able to use precision inspection tools for calibrations, such as hardness testing & tachometers.

Seeking candidate with min. 3-5 years of previous assembly experience within a manufacturing environment involving medium size Electro/Mechanical Assemblies. A proven track record of performance and solid reference history.

This is a small company atmosphere, ingenuity and team play are very important. Candidates must be self-motivated and energetic. A qualified candidate must have high school diploma any additional education is valuable. Prior experience with Knitting Machines is valuable for this position. Any Machine Shop Experience is also Valuable for this Position.
